Prince Harry has lost a High Court challenge against the United Kingdom government over what level of security he should get whenever he is in the UK. The case existed because the Duke of Sussex is trying to overturn a ruling which saw his security status downgraded, thanks to his decision to stop being a 'working royal'. His lawyers have argued that the decision was made in an unfair manner. The challenge was made by Harry back in December 2023 and Home Office lawyers told the High Court Prince Harry would still have publicly-funded police security, but these would be "bespoke arrangements, specifically tailored to him", rather than the automatic security provided for full-time working royals.Court rules against Prince Harry.
