Jennifer Lopez, Megan Fox… Dame Helen Mirren! Lead 2024 Razzie Award Nominations




Awards season isn’t all golden statues and gushing praise. Some movies are just stinkers, at least according to the 2024 Golden Raspberry Awards nominations,

 which provide a list of some of the organization’s picks for last year’s least noteworthy big screen bombs. Leading the roster for the 44th annual edition of the least distinguished films is the fourth episode of the arthritic action franchise Expend4bles,

 which got seven nominations, including worst picture, worst supporting actress (Megan Fox), worst supporting actor (Sylvester Stallone), worst screen couple (“any 2 ‘Merciless Mercenaries'”),


 worst prequel, remake, rip-off or sequel, worst director and worst screenplay. A couple of superhero movies also racked up multiple noms, with the messy Shazam! Fury of the Gods and the confounding Ant-Man and the Wasp:


 Quantumania getting four each. The worst actor and actress categories are a mix of box office legends and action movie staples, with the men led by Oscar-winner Russell Crowe (Pope’s Exorcist), who will battle Vin Diesel (Fast X), Chris Evans (Ghosted),


 Jason Statham (Meg 2: The Trench) and Jon Voight (Mercy). On the women’s side, Oscar-winner Dame Helen Mirren (Shazam! Fury of the Gods) is in a tight race with Ana de Armas (Ghosted),

 Fox (Johnny & Clyde), Salma Hayek (Magic Mike’s Last Dance) and Jennifer Lopez (The Mother).

Over the Atlantic, Air Belgium's Freighter losses cabin pressure

Air Belgium's A332 over the Atlantic losses cabin pressure An Air Belgium Airbus A330-200 freighter, registration OE-LAL performing flight KF-278 from Brussels (Belgium) to Cincinnati,KY (USA), was enroute at FL360 over the Atlantic Ocean about 290nm northwest of Shannon (Ireland) when the crew donned their oxygen masks and initiated an emergency descent to FL100 due to the loss of cabin pressure.  The aircraft turned around to return to Brussels, over Ireland exited controlled airspace to maintain FL100 (bottom of controlled airspace at FL120), entered a hold at Brussels to burn off fuel and landed safely on Brussels' runway 25R about 6:45 hours after departure and about 4:45 hours after leaving FL360. The aircraft remained on the ground in Brussels for about 65 hours, then departed again and reached Cincinnati with a delay of about 72 hours. Meghan Markle has been warned about returning to the royal family by Prince Harry

A royal expert has warned Duke of Sussex Prince Harry that his wife Meghan Markle could try to ‘control’ his royal return as he plans to take on temporary royal duties following King Charles cancer diagnosis. Speaking to GB News, royal author Angela Levin claimed that Meghan will be "in charge" of Harry if the Duke begins life as a "part-time royal".Angela, who is a major critic of the California-based royal couple, said  "Anything that he [Harry] does here, Meghan will control, she controls him, she holds his arms, she doesn't let him move more than three inches.” The royal expert continued, “And if he comes, if he wants to get a place in Kensington Palace,  it would be an absolute disaster because they will be manipulated by those two.
