Swiss Airlines had problems with its air conditioning in-flight

Swiss B773 near Mallorca had problems with air conditioning A Swiss International Airlines Boeing 777-300, registration HB-JNB performing flight LX-7092 from Zurich (Switzerland) to Sao Paulo Guarulhos,SP (Brazil) with 145 people on board, was enroute at FL330 about 50nm northeast of Palma Mallorca,SP (Spain) when the crew decided to return to Zurich due to problems with the air conditioning. The aircraft descended to FL320 for the return and landed safely on Zurich's runway 14 about 2.5 hours after departure. The aircraft is still on the ground in Zurich about 7.5 hours after landing back. The flight, LX-92, expected with 318 passengers on board had been postponed the previous day due to the aircraft not coming out of an A-Check in time and was to be flown as flight LX-7092 on Feb 22nd. A replacement Boeing 777-300 registration HB-JNJ is currently enroute to Sao Paulo and is estimated to reach the destination with a delay of about 18 hours. https://www.flightaware.com/live/flight/

Kalitta B747-400 sandwiched between fire warning and multiple system malfunction while in flight over the Atlantic

Kalitta B744 over Atlantic faces fire indication followed by multiple system malfunctions A Kalitta Boeing 747-400 freighter, registration N767CK performing flight KA-844 from Miami,FL (USA) to Amsterdam (Netherlands) with 5 crew and cargo of flowers, was enroute at FL370 over the Atlantic Ocean about 600nm west of Shannon when the crew donned their oxygen masks, declared emergency and descended the aircraft to FL260 after receiving a fire indication on board.  The crew decided to divert to Shannon (Ireland). Enroute towards Shannon the crew reported they now had multiple system malfunctions.  The crew requested high speed below FL100, deviated around weather, performed an ILS approach to, landed on Shannon's runway 24 and stopped on the runway.  Following a first inspection by emergency services the aircraft proceeded to the apron with emergency services in trail.  The crew advised that the fire indications had ceased during the landing roll, there was no trace of fire, smoke or h

A royal expert has warned Duke of Sussex Prince Harry that his wife Meghan Markle could try to ‘control’ his royal return as he plans to take on temporary royal duties following King Charles cancer diagnosis. Prince Harry and Meghan Markle have said they are counting down the days until they return to Canada. The Duke and Duchess of Sussex spent three days in Whistler last week for the 2025 Invictus Games launch event.  The first-ever winter edition of the sporting competition will take place in February next year. The couple attended all three days of the launch event from February 14 to February 16 and were pictured beaming throughout. Andes B738 at Buenos Aires reports unreliable airspeed An Andes Lineas Aereas Boeing 737-800 on behalf of Flybondi, registration LV-HKS performing flight FO-5106 from Buenos Aires Ezeiza,BA to Iguazu,MI (Argentina), was climbing out of Ezeiza's runway 35 when the crew stopped the climb at FL090 feet declaring emergency and reporting unreliable airspeed.  The aircraft entered a hold and returned to Ezeiza for a safe landing on runway 35 about 40 minutes after departure. Argentina's JST reported they have opened an investigation into an incident by LV-HKS at Ministro Pistarini (Ezeiza) Airport. According to flight schedules flight FO-5106 is scheduled to depart Buenos Aires's Aeroparque,BA (Argentina) Airport for Iguazu. The occurrence aircraft had last flown on Jan 7th 2024 landing at Buenos Aires Ezeiza and was on its first departure from Ezeiza since. United's B757-200 slat got damaged in-flight

United B752 near Denver had its slat damaged in-flight A United Boeing 757-200, registration N57111 performing flight UA-354 from San Francisco,CA to Boston,MA (USA) with 165 people on board, was enroute at FL310 about 100nm northwest of Denver,CO (USA) when the crew decided to divert to Denver after passengers observed slat damage to the right hand wing.  The aircraft landed safely on Denver's runway 16R about 25 minutes later. A replacement Boeing 757-200 registration N34137 reached Boston with a delay of about 3.5 hours. The FAA reported the aircraft diverted to Denver after the crew reported a possible flap issue.
