In his first speech since his whistle-stop tour of the UK, Prince Harry shuns both the King and Royal Family

Prince Harry neglected to mention his cancer-stricken father when he popped up at a glamourous American football award ceremony.   The Duke of Sussex turned up to present the NFL Walter Payton Man of the Year award.The Prince made a series of jokes comparing rugby to American football at the speech in Las Vegas, Nevada.It is believed the Duke flew to Vegas just 24 hours after landing in LA following a 11,000-mile round trip to London to see King Charles for 45 minutes.  Speaking at the event, Prince Harry joked that: "You stole rugby from us and you made it your own...Instead of passing it backwards, just pass it forwards. Why not wear pads and a helmet?This final award, the highest honour, is all about serving your community,  and there is one special man we'd like to pay tribute to now." United B737 at Chicago faces lightning strike A United Boeing 737-700, registration N15751 performing flight UA-555 from Jacksonville,FL to Chicago O'Hare,IL (USA), was on approach to Chicago's runway 28C when the aircraft sustained a lightning strike. The aircraft continued for a safe landing on the runway. The FAA reported: "AIRCRAFT WAS STRUCK BY LIGHTNING WHILE LANDING AND POST FLIGHT INSPECTION REVEALED A SMALL HOLE ON RIGHT SIDE OF FUSELAGE, CHICAGO, IL." Oh birds, let Air New Zealand go! Second rejected takeoff

ANZ DH8C at Timaru rejects takeoff An Air New Zealand de Havilland Dash 8-300, registration ZK-NEP performing flight NZ-8190 from Timaru to Wellington (New Zealand), was accelerating for takeoff from Timaru's runway 02 when the crew rejected takeoff at high speed (about 100 knots over ground).  The aircraft slowed safely and returned to the apron.  The aircraft was able to depart about 45 minutes later and reached Wellington with a delay of about one hour.  The aircraft was finally cleared for takeoff about 50 minutes later.  The airline reported the crew rejected takeoff (again) due to winged wildlife. B747-400; belonging to One Air left its crew with no lateral navigation near Amsterdam

One Air B744 near Amsterdam  two generators failed leaving no lateral navigation A One Air Boeing 747-400 freighter, registration G-ONEE performing flight HC-211 from London Heathrow,EN (UK) to Hong Kong (China), was climbing out of Heathrow's runway 09R when the crew stopped the climb at FL250, already over the North Sea reporting they had lost two of their four generators and requested radar vectors advising they had no lateral navigation left.  The aircraft initially turned back towards England, then turned again and diverted to Amsterdam (Netherlands) advising they didn't need any fuel dump, and landed safely on Amsterdam's runway 06 about 85 minutes after departure. The aircraft slowed and came to a stop at the end of the runway. The airline reported the crew rejected takeoff over concerns due to bird activity around the aerodrome. The aircraft stopped on the runway and will remain there until procedures are being completed. New Zealand's CAA reported they have been notified about the occurrence and have in turn notified New Zealand's TAIC (Transport Accident Investigation Commission). New Zealand's TAIC stated they have opened an inquiry into the occurrence stating that the aircraft aborted an attempted takeoff at speed and stopped at the end of the runway. Sichuan A321 near Guangzhou bleed air fault A Sichuan Airlines Airbus A321-200, registration B-1823 performing flight 3U-8906 from Fuzhou to Chengdu (China), was enroute at 10,400 meters (FL341) about 130nm northeast of Guangzhou (China) when the crew decided to divert to Guangzhou.  The aircraft descended to 3,000 meters (about 9,800 feet) levelling off about 11 minutes after leaving 10,400 meters, and landed safely on Guangzhou's runway 02R about 40 minutes later. The airline reported an air bleed fault (engine V2533) prompted the diversion. A replacement A321-200N registration B-324L reached Chengdu with a delay of about 6.5 hours. Prince Harry to fly home after seeing King for half an hour The Duke of Sussex has arrived at Heathrow to fly home to California, just 24 hours after he arrived. Prince Harry, 39, flew 11 hours across the Atlantic to see his cancer-stricken father for just half an hour. The gesture is understood to have been warmly welcomed by the King. The Duke landed at Heathrow at lunchtime on Tuesday before being whisked straight to Clarence House with a police escort. He arrived at his father’s London residence just before 2.45pm and left at 3.31pm. The King and Queen followed just minutes later and were driven to Buckingham Palace before flying by helicopter to Sandringham. Prince Harry is thought to have stayed in a hotel overnight before dashing back home to his wife, Meghan, and their two children.
