Prince Harry and Meghan Markle distanced themselves through their spokesperson from quotes in the New York Post about Kate Middleton's Photoshop crisis.   The Princess of Wales apologized Monday for editing a family portrait released on Mother's Day in the U.K. which was "killed" by four picture agencies over concerns it had been manipulated.A story then appeared in Page Six, the Post's gossip column, quoting "Sources close to Meghan Markle and Prince Harry" saying:  "This isn't a mistake that Meghan would ever make...she has a keen eye and freakish attention to detail."A spokesperson from the couple's Archewell Foundation told Newsweek: "With respect to Page Six, that did not come from us."   The Page Six source also suggested that "if Harry and Meghan had ever encountered the same issue they would have been annihilated" and added: "The same rules do not apply to both couples. West Atlantic; stuck rudder

West Atlantic ATR-72-200 experienced rudder restriction A West Atlantic Avions de Transport Regional ATR-72-200, registration G-NPTF performing flight NPT-07B from East Midlands, to Belfast International, was enroute when the aircraft suffered restricted rudder travel.  The aircraft continued to Aldergrove airport for a safe landing on runway 25 about one hour after departure. The UK AAIB rated the occurrence a serious incident and opened an investigation, also stating that the rudder travel restriction continued after landing and during taxi. The aircraft is still on the ground in Belfast 9 days after the landing. On Jan 17th 2023 the aircraft had suffered electrical issues keeping the aircraft on the ground for about a week. On Mar 7th 2024 the AAIB reported: "During the landing flare the flight crew encountered a rudder control restriction and used nose wheel steering for directional control on the runway.  Examination of the aircraft the following day revealed that the rudder

Azul E195 at Sao Paulo faced a bird strike  An Azul Linhas Aereas Embraer ERJ-195, registration PR-AXP performing flight AD-4316 from Sao Paulo Viracopos, to Uberlandia (Brazil), was climbing out of Viracopos' runway 33 when a bird impacted the nose of the aircraft prompting the crew to stop the climb at FL150 and return to Viracopos for a safe landing on runway 33 about 25 minutes after departure.  The aircraft sustained a slightly re-arranged nose cone. A replacement Embraer ERJ-195-E2 registration PS-AEG reached Uberlandia with a delay of about 4.5 hours. The occurrence aircraft is still on the ground at Viracopos about 21 hours after landing back. Bird Strike on Egypt Air's engine

Egypt B738 at Entebbe had a bird strike  An Egypt Air Boeing 737-800, registration SU-GDZ performing flight MS-835 from Entebbe (Uganda) to Cairo (Egypt) with 116 people on board, was climbing out of Entebbe's runway 17 when a bird impacted one of the engines (CFM56) prompting the crew to divert to Kigali (Rwanda) where the aircraft landed safely on runway 28 about 35 minutes later. The aircraft remained on the ground in Kigali until Mar 3rd, then flew directly to Cairo as flight MS-835. MS-835 route is Cairo-Kigali-Entebbe-Cairo.

Battery thermal runaway on Breeze Bombardier CS3 in-flight

Breeze BCS3 near Albuquerque had a battery thermal runaway A Breeze Airways Bombardier C-Series CS-300, registration N227BZ performing flight MX-555 from Los Angeles,CA to Pittsburgh,PA (USA) with 88 people on board, was enroute at FL370 about 150nm northwest of Albuquerque,NM (USA) when the crew decided to divert to Albuquerque reporting a passenger's laptop had caught fire due to thermal runaway of its Lithium Ion Battery.  Cabin crew extinguished the fire and secured the laptop. The aircraft landed safely on Albuquerque's runway 08 about 25 minutes after leaving FL370.  The owner of the laptop was checked by paramedics at the airport and released. The aircraft remained on the ground in Albuquerque for about 23 hours, then continued the flight as MX-8555 and reached Pittsburgh with a delay of about 23.5 hours. Over the Atlantic, Air Belgium's Freighter losses cabin pressure

Air Belgium's A332 over the Atlantic losses cabin pressure An Air Belgium Airbus A330-200 freighter, registration OE-LAL performing flight KF-278 from Brussels (Belgium) to Cincinnati,KY (USA), was enroute at FL360 over the Atlantic Ocean about 290nm northwest of Shannon (Ireland) when the crew donned their oxygen masks and initiated an emergency descent to FL100 due to the loss of cabin pressure.  The aircraft turned around to return to Brussels, over Ireland exited controlled airspace to maintain FL100 (bottom of controlled airspace at FL120), entered a hold at Brussels to burn off fuel and landed safely on Brussels' runway 25R about 6:45 hours after departure and about 4:45 hours after leaving FL360. The aircraft remained on the ground in Brussels for about 65 hours, then departed again and reached Cincinnati with a delay of about 72 hours.
