Compressor stall on American Airlines

American A319 at Boston had an engine compressor stall   An American Airlines Airbus A319-100, registration N762US performing flight AA-1146 from Boston,MA to Philadelphia,PA (USA), was climbing out of Boston's runway 22R when the crew requested to level off at 6000 feet reporting they had a compressor stall on one of their engines (CFM56) and there was a brief smell of smoke afterwards, hence they wanted to return to Boston.  The crew requested a long final while working 5 or 6 things they had to do. The aircraft landed safely back on runway 22L about 20 minutes after departure. Passengers reported they saw a streak of flames and some smoke, the captain subsequently announced it was a bird strike. A replacement Airbus A321-200N registration N467AL is estimated to reach Philadelphia with a delay of about 10 hours. American B738 at Boston had flaps problem An American Airlines Boeing 737-800, registration N991AN performing flight AA-1442 from Dallas Ft. Worth,TX to Boston,MA (USA), was on final approach to Boston's runway 04R when the crew initiated a go around due to problems with the flaps.  The aircraft positioned for another approach to runway 04R and landed safely about 25 minutes after the go around. The FAA reported: "American Airlines Flight 1442 landed safely at Logan International Airport in Boston around 1:50 p.m. local time on March 15, after the crew reported a flap issue. The Boeing 737-800 was traveling from Dallas-Fort Worth International Airport to Boston. The FAA will investigate." Prince Harry and Meghan Markle distanced themselves through their spokesperson from quotes in the New York Post about Kate Middleton's Photoshop crisis.   The Princess of Wales apologized Monday for editing a family portrait released on Mother's Day in the U.K. which was "killed" by four picture agencies over concerns it had been manipulated.A story then appeared in Page Six, the Post's gossip column, quoting "Sources close to Meghan Markle and Prince Harry" saying:  "This isn't a mistake that Meghan would ever make...she has a keen eye and freakish attention to detail."A spokesperson from the couple's Archewell Foundation told Newsweek: "With respect to Page Six, that did not come from us."   The Page Six source also suggested that "if Harry and Meghan had ever encountered the same issue they would have been annihilated" and added: "The same rules do not apply to both couples. West Atlantic; stuck rudder

West Atlantic ATR-72-200 experienced rudder restriction A West Atlantic Avions de Transport Regional ATR-72-200, registration G-NPTF performing flight NPT-07B from East Midlands, to Belfast International, was enroute when the aircraft suffered restricted rudder travel.  The aircraft continued to Aldergrove airport for a safe landing on runway 25 about one hour after departure. The UK AAIB rated the occurrence a serious incident and opened an investigation, also stating that the rudder travel restriction continued after landing and during taxi. The aircraft is still on the ground in Belfast 9 days after the landing. On Jan 17th 2023 the aircraft had suffered electrical issues keeping the aircraft on the ground for about a week. On Mar 7th 2024 the AAIB reported: "During the landing flare the flight crew encountered a rudder control restriction and used nose wheel steering for directional control on the runway.  Examination of the aircraft the following day revealed that the rudder

Azul E195 at Sao Paulo faced a bird strike  An Azul Linhas Aereas Embraer ERJ-195, registration PR-AXP performing flight AD-4316 from Sao Paulo Viracopos, to Uberlandia (Brazil), was climbing out of Viracopos' runway 33 when a bird impacted the nose of the aircraft prompting the crew to stop the climb at FL150 and return to Viracopos for a safe landing on runway 33 about 25 minutes after departure.  The aircraft sustained a slightly re-arranged nose cone. A replacement Embraer ERJ-195-E2 registration PS-AEG reached Uberlandia with a delay of about 4.5 hours. The occurrence aircraft is still on the ground at Viracopos about 21 hours after landing back.
