A go-around for United Airlines due to some hydraulic problem while on final

United B764 at Newark faced some hydraulic problem A United Boeing 767-400, registration N78060 performing flight UA-963 from Berlin (Germany) to Newark,NJ (USA), was on approach to Newark when the crew reported a hydraulic problem.  The aircraft went around, positioned for another approach and landed safely on runway 04L. The FAA reported: "United Airlines Flight 963 landed safely at Newark Liberty International Airport in New Jersey around 12:50 p.m. local time on Tuesday, March 26, after the crew reported a possible hydraulic issue.  The Boeing 767 was traveling from Berlin, Germany. A Cessna crashed on approach

A  Cessna 172S Skyhawk on approach suffered s ubstantial damage as it crashed near Auburn University's Regional Airport.  It is reported that the  aircraft's registration number to be  N863AU  and the lone training  pilot to have suffered minor injuries

In-flight engine failure on Southwest Airlines

Southwest B738 at Fort Lauderdale had an engine shut down in flight A Southwest Airlines Boeing 737-800, registration N8578Q performing flight WN-1575 from Fort Lauderdale,FL to Houston Hobby,TX (USA) with 184 people on board, was climbing out of Fort Lauderdale's runway 10L when the crew reported a right hand engine (CFM56) failure, the crew stopped the climb at about 4000 feet and decided to return to Fort Lauderdale.  The aircraft returned to Fort Lauderdale for a safe landing on runway 10L about 16 minutes after departure. The aircraft vacated the runway and stopped for an inspection by emergency services before continuing to the apron. Change of plans as Birds couldn't let Aegean fly

An Aegean A321N at Athens was hit by birds An Aegean Airlines Airbus A321-200N, registration SX-NAL performing flight A3-606 from Athens (Greece) to London Gatwick,EN (UK), was departing Athen's runway 03R when a bird impacted the aircraft.  The crew stopped the climb at FL170 and returned to Athens for a safe landing on runway 03L about 22 minutes after departure. A replacement Airbus A321-200 registration SX-DNG reached Gatwick with a delay of about 90 minutes. The occurrence aircraft is still on the ground in Athens about 13 hours after landing back. Compressor stall on American Airlines

American A319 at Boston had an engine compressor stall   An American Airlines Airbus A319-100, registration N762US performing flight AA-1146 from Boston,MA to Philadelphia,PA (USA), was climbing out of Boston's runway 22R when the crew requested to level off at 6000 feet reporting they had a compressor stall on one of their engines (CFM56) and there was a brief smell of smoke afterwards, hence they wanted to return to Boston.  The crew requested a long final while working 5 or 6 things they had to do. The aircraft landed safely back on runway 22L about 20 minutes after departure. Passengers reported they saw a streak of flames and some smoke, the captain subsequently announced it was a bird strike. A replacement Airbus A321-200N registration N467AL is estimated to reach Philadelphia with a delay of about 10 hours. Worth,TX to Boston,MA (USA), was on final approach to Boston's runway 04R when the crew initiated a go around due to problems with the flaps.  The aircraft positioned for another approach to runway 04R and landed safely about 25 minutes after the go around. The FAA reported: "American Airlines Flight 1442 landed safely at Logan International Airport in Boston around 1:50 p.m. local time on March 15, after the crew reported a flap issue. Prince Harry and Meghan Markle distanced themselves through their spokesperson from quotes in the New York Post about Kate Middleton's Photoshop crisis.   The Princess of Wales apologized Monday for editing a family portrait released on Mother's Day in the U.K. which was "killed" by four picture agencies over concerns it had been manipulated.A story then appeared in Page Six, the Post's gossip column, quoting "Sources close to Meghan Markle and Prince Harry" saying:  "This isn't a mistake that Meghan would ever make...she has a keen eye and freakish attention to detail."A spokesperson from the couple's Archewell Foundation told Newsweek: "With respect to Page Six, that did not come from us."   The Page Six source also suggested that "if Harry and Meghan had ever encountered the same issue they would have been annihilated" and added: "The same rules do not apply to both couples. West Atlantic; stuck rudder

West Atlantic ATR-72-200 experienced rudder restriction A West Atlantic Avions de Transport Regional ATR-72-200, registration G-NPTF performing flight NPT-07B from East Midlands, to Belfast International, was enroute when the aircraft suffered restricted rudder travel.  The aircraft continued to Aldergrove airport for a safe landing on runway 25 about one hour after departure. The UK AAIB rated the occurrence a serious incident and opened an investigation, also stating that the rudder travel restriction continued after landing and during taxi. The aircraft is still on the ground in Belfast 9 days after the landing. On Jan 17th 2023 the aircraft had suffered electrical issues keeping the aircraft on the ground for about a week. Azul E195 at Sao Paulo faced a bird strike  An Azul Linhas Aereas Embraer ERJ-195, registration PR-AXP performing flight AD-4316 from Sao Paulo Viracopos, to Uberlandia (Brazil), was climbing out of Viracopos' runway 33 when a bird impacted the nose of the aircraft prompting the crew to stop the climb at FL150 and return to Viracopos for a safe landing on runway 33 about 25 minutes after departure.  The aircraft sustained a slightly re-arranged nose cone. A replacement Embraer ERJ-195-E2 registration PS-AEG reached Uberlandia with a delay of about 4.5 hours. The occurrence aircraft is still on the ground at Viracopos about 21 hours after landing back. Bird Strike on Egypt Air's engine

Egypt B738 at Entebbe had a bird strike  An Egypt Air Boeing 737-800, registration SU-GDZ performing flight MS-835 from Entebbe (Uganda) to Cairo (Egypt) with 116 people on board, was climbing out of Entebbe's runway 17 when a bird impacted one of the engines (CFM56) prompting the crew to divert to Kigali (Rwanda) where the aircraft landed safely on runway 28 about 35 minutes later. The aircraft remained on the ground in Kigali until Mar 3rd, then flew directly to Cairo as flight MS-835. MS-835 route is Cairo-Kigali-Entebbe-Cairo.

Battery thermal runaway on Breeze Bombardier CS3 in-flight

Breeze BCS3 near Albuquerque had a battery thermal runaway A Breeze Airways Bombardier C-Series CS-300, registration N227BZ performing flight MX-555 from Los Angeles,CA to Pittsburgh,PA (USA) with 88 people on board, was enroute at FL370 about 150nm northwest of Albuquerque,NM (USA) when the crew decided to divert to Albuquerque reporting a passenger's laptop had caught fire due to thermal runaway of its Lithium Ion Battery.  Cabin crew extinguished the fire and secured the laptop. The aircraft landed safely on Albuquerque's runway 08 about 25 minutes after leaving FL370.  The owner of the laptop was checked by paramedics at the airport and released. The aircraft remained on the ground in Albuquerque for about 23 hours, then continued the flight as MX-8555 and reached Pittsburgh with a delay of about 23.5 hours. Over the Atlantic, Air Belgium's Freighter losses cabin pressure

Air Belgium's A332 over the Atlantic losses cabin pressure An Air Belgium Airbus A330-200 freighter, registration OE-LAL performing flight KF-278 from Brussels (Belgium) to Cincinnati,KY (USA), was enroute at FL360 over the Atlantic Ocean about 290nm northwest of Shannon (Ireland) when the crew donned their oxygen masks and initiated an emergency descent to FL100 due to the loss of cabin pressure.  The aircraft turned around to return to Brussels, over Ireland exited controlled airspace to maintain FL100 (bottom of controlled airspace at FL120), entered a hold at Brussels to burn off fuel and landed safely on Brussels' runway 25R about 6:45 hours after departure and about 4:45 hours after leaving FL360. The aircraft remained on the ground in Brussels for about 65 hours, then departed again and reached Cincinnati with a delay of about 72 hours. A Cirrus SR22 crop duster crashed

A crop duster plane crashed under unknown circumstances near Villa Ana. The pilot was seriously injured and was taken to a hospital. The crop duster plane was destroyed. Gol B738 Max at Belem had an electrical failure  A Gol Transportes Aereos Boeing 737-8 MAX, registration PR-XMB performing flight G3-1833 from Belem,PA to Brasilia,DF (Brazil), was climbing through about FL180 out of Belem when the crew decided to return to Belem's runway 06 due to electrical problems.  The aircraft landed safely on Belem's runway 06 about 30 minutes after departure. Brazil's CENIPA reported: "During cruise phase the aircraft experienced an electrical failure in the generators. After carrying out the related procedures the aircraft returned to the aerodrome of origin."
